The Rock is an American action film of the year 1996, directed by Michael Bay and the protagonists are Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris. It was nominated for an Oscar. It tells the story of an FBI chemical war expert, Stanley Goodspeed, who is sent on an urgent mission to the British ex-spy, John Patrick Mason, to prevent General Francis X. Hummel from detonating chemical weapons on the island of Alcatraz.
