The orphanage is a Spanish thriller from 2007. This is the debut of director Juan Antonio Bayona and stars Belén Rueda, playing Laura. Laura has happy memories of her childhood in an orphanage. She convinces her husband to buy the place and helps to make it a home for sick children. One day, his own adopted son, Simon (Roger Príncep), disappears. Simon is seriously ill, and when he continues missing several months later, he is presumed dead. Laura is disconsolate and believes that listening to spirits in the house, which may or may not help her to find the child.
