Jurassic Park (1993) is a science fiction and adventure movie. It was directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the first installment of the Jurassic Park franchise. The main roles are played by Richard Attenborough, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern. The film takes place on the (fictional) Nublar Island, located off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, where a billionaire and a team of genetic scientists have created a park of cloned dinosaurs. During a visit by a group of experts, a park employee cuts off the electricity to try to steal several embryos and, accidentally, facilitates the escape of dangerous prehistoric animals.
