Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) is an American adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg. On this occasion, Indiana Jones accidentally arrives in northern India, where the desperate inhabitants of a small town ask for help to find a magic stone that they have stolen. The archaeologist accepts and in the course of his mission he runs into the sect of the Stranglers (Thugs), who practice child slavery, black magic and rituals of human sacrifice in honor of their goddess Kali.
