Waad al-Kateab is the one who shows us for five years the riots in Aleppo in more than 500 hours of footage that can be summarized in 93 minutes. 'For Sama' shows us from the wedding of the protagonist with her current husband, a doctor in a makeshift hospital, to the birth of her daughter Sama, to whom the documentary is dedicated, through constant bombings that have no end. It has just won the BAFTA Award for Best Documentary and everything points to it being one of the favorites for the Oscars.
