Big, Angry Keramas - 18 April 2019

The forecast for the biggest swell of the year was a raging success, thanks Magicseaweed, Surfline etc.. There was no waiting around for the swell to fill in with big heavy lines already hammering Bali's East coast first thing in the morning. The surf cam was grainy in the early light, but it was obvious that the new swell was here and it was straight and organised. What I arrived to was a very different looking Keramas to what I'm used to seeing. Not a single air reverse in sight. Not many turns at all for that matter. Survival was a priority for most, but there were a few guys drawing some aggressive lines and plenty of big pits were pulled into.
